Old Horse Springs, NM
Old Horse Springs got its name from a troop of soldiers travelling from Socorro to Ft. Tularosa when they lost a horse and on their return trip, found the horse at a large spring.
Horse Springs is also known as "El Caballo" (the horse) to many. The elevation is 6,916 feet.
